X55CrMoV5-1

1.2320 (X55CrMoV5-1) is an [[glossary:warmarbeitsstahl|hot work steel]] with 5 % [[element:Cr|chromium]], [[element:Mo|molybdenum]], and [[element:V|vanadium]], closely related to 1.2344. It matches it in [[glossary:haerte|hardness]] and hot strength, but is used for tools where a slightly higher base hardness is wanted. Applications: [[glossary:warmfestigkeit|forging dies]], [[glossary:schmiedegesenk|die casting]] molds, hot forming tools.
