1.2367

X38CrMoV5-3

1.2367 (X38CrMoV5-3) is a high-temperature-resistant [[glossary:warmarbeitsstahl|hot work tool steel]] with 5 % [[element:Cr|chromium]] and an increased [[element:Mo|molybdenum]] content (approx. 3 %). The molybdenum boosts [[glossary:warmhaerte|hot hardness]] significantly compared to 1.2344 — the steel stays stable even at sustained high temperatures. It is the choice for large molds, [[glossary:schmiedegesenk|forging dies]] and [[glossary:druckguss|die casting]] dies that run at high temperatures and need long service life.
