1.2378 (X100CrMoV5) is a [[glossary:kaltarbeitsstahl|cold work tool steel]] with 1.0 % [[element:C|carbon]], 5 % [[element:Cr|chromium]], [[element:Mo|molybdenum]], and [[element:V|vanadium]] — largely identical to 1.2362. Use: gauges, measuring tools, cutting tools requiring high dimensional accuracy and good polishability.
