X30WCrV9-3

1.2581 (X30WCrV9-3) is a tungsten-alloyed [[glossary:warmarbeitsstahl|hot-work steel]] with ~9 % [[element:W|tungsten]]. Tungsten boosts hot strength a lot — the steel stays stable even at temperatures where chrome-moly grades go soft long before. Use: hot-work tools for the highest temperatures, [[glossary:schmiedegesenk|forging dies]], press mandrels, extrusion tools.
