1.2601 (X165CrMoV12) is the German D2: 1.65 % [[element:C|carbon]], 12 % [[element:Cr|chromium]], [[element:Mo|molybdenum]], and [[element:V|vanadium]]. It's very close to 1.2379, just slightly different [[glossary:karbidbildung|carbide formation]]. Use: punching and cutting tools, cold forming tools, thread rolling — anywhere you need the highest [[glossary:verschleissfestigkeit|wear resistance]].
