1.2711 (54NiCrMoV6) is a nickel-alloyed [[glossary:kunststoffformenstahl|plastic mold steel]] for large molds requiring high [[glossary:zaehigkeit|toughness]]: [[element:Ni|nickel]], [[element:Cr|chromium]], [[element:Mo|molybdenum]], and [[element:V|vanadium]] provide through-[[glossary:haerten|hardening]] and fine grain. Use: large, highly stressed molds and dies that are subjected to impact.
