55NiCrMoV7

The 1.2714 (55NiCrMoV7) is a hot-work steel: hot strength up to 500–600 °C for [[glossary:druckguss|die casting]] molds and [[glossary:schmiedegesenk|forging dies]]. [[element:Cr|Chromium]], [[element:Mo|molybdenum]], and [[element:V|vanadium]] make it very sensitive to [[glossary:haerten|hardening]] in the [[glossary:waermeeinflusstaue|heat-affected zone]] during welding. Typical analysis: 0.56 % C, 0.1 % V, 1.1 % Cr, 0.75 % Mn, 0.5 % Mo, 1.7 % Ni, 0.25 % Si.
