X55CrMoSiV5

1.2768 (X55CrMoSiV5) is a [[glossary:kaltarbeitsstahl|tool steel]] with 0.55 % [[element:C|carbon]], 5 % [[element:Cr|chromium]], [[element:Mo|molybdenum]], [[element:Si|silicon]], and [[element:V|vanadium]]. The silicon improves hot strength. Applications: hot-work tools, dies for medium thermal loads, cutting and forming tools.
