HS2-9-1-8

1.3247 (HS2-9-1-8) is a cobalt-alloyed high-performance [[glossary:schnellarbeitsstahl|high-speed steel]] with 8 % [[element:Co|cobalt]] and a high [[element:Mo|molybdenum]] content. It has the highest [[glossary:warmhaerte|hot hardness]] of the HSS family — it cuts where other HSS grades go soft long before. Applications: top-performance tools, milling cutters for [[element:Ti|titanium]] and high-strength steels.
