HS2-9-1

1.3348 (HS2-9-1) is a molybdenum-based [[glossary:schnellarbeitsstahl|high-speed steel]] with 2 % [[element:W|tungsten]], 9 % [[element:Mo|molybdenum]], and 1 % [[element:V|vanadium]]. The high molybdenum content replaces the tungsten — a good compromise between [[glossary:haerte|hardness]] and [[glossary:zaehigkeit|toughness]]. Used for end mills, drills, threading tools.
