HS18-0-1

1.3355 (HS18-0-1) is the classic tungsten-based [[glossary:schnellarbeitsstahl|high-speed steel]]: 18 % [[element:W|tungsten]], 4 % [[element:Cr|chromium]], 1 % [[element:V|vanadium]], no [[element:Mo|molybdenum]]. The original type of HSS, in use for over 100 years. It is tougher than modern molybdenum grades, but not quite as hot-hard. Used for turning tools, mills, saw blades, classic cutting tools.
