X30Cr13

The 1.4028 (X30Cr13) is a martensitic [[element:Cr|chromium]] steel: hardenable, magnetic, and with medium [[glossary:korrosion|corrosion]] resistance — more of a knife and turbine material than "stainless steel for outdoors." Its high [[element:C|carbon]] makes it [[glossary:risse|crack]]-prone when welding. Typical analysis: 0.3 % C, 13 % Cr, 0.5 % Mn, 0.5 % Si.
