X50CrMoV15

The 1.4116 (X50CrMoV15) is a cold work steel: high [[glossary:kaltarbeitsstahl|carbon]] plus [[element:C|chromium]], [[element:Cr|tungsten]], or [[element:W|vanadium]] make it hard and wear-resistant for cutting and stamping. That same high carbon makes it extremely [[element:V|crack]]-prone when welding. Typical analysis: 0.5 % C, 0.15 % V, 14.5 % Cr, 0.5 % Mn, 0.6 % Mo, 0.5 % Si.
