X105CrMo17

1.4120 (X105CrMo17) is a stainless [[glossary:kaltarbeitsstahl|cold-work tool steel]] with 1.05 % [[element:C|carbon]], 17 % [[element:Cr|chromium]], and [[element:Mo|molybdenum]]. The high carbon content makes it harder than most stainless steels, and the chromium content makes it [[glossary:korrosion|corrosion]]-resistant. Uses: knife blades, scissors, surgical instruments, corrosion-resistant cutting tools.
