1.4512

X2CrTi12

The 1.4512 (X2CrTi12) is a ferritic stainless [[element:Cr|chromium]] steel without [[element:Ni|nickel]] — magnetic, cheap, and resistant in mild environments. When welding, its grain in the [[glossary:waermeeinflusstaue|heat-affected zone]] coarsens irreversibly: The zone gets brittle and loses [[glossary:korrosion|corrosion]] resistance. Typical analysis: 0.02 % C, 11.5 % Cr, 0.5 % Mn, 0.5 % Si.
