1.5752

15NiCr13

The 1.5752 (15NiCr13) is a case-[[glossary:haerten|hardening]] steel: hard on the outside after [[glossary:aufkohlen|carburizing]], tough on the inside. In the untreated condition (low [[element:C|carbon]]), it's easy to weld. Typical analysis: 0.15 % C, 0.85 % Cr, 0.5 % Mn, 3.25 % Ni, 0.25 % Si. For higher [[glossary:verschleissschutz|wear protection]], three hard-facing options are available: S Fe 1 (martensitic, approx. 300–400 HB, machinable), S Fe 2 (wear-resistant and tough, approx. 50–55 HRC, conditionally machinable) and S Fe 15 ([[glossary:karbid|carbide]]-rich, approx. 55–65+ HRC, not machinable).
