CARMO

CARMO

CARMO is a Uddeholm [[element:Cr|chromium]]-[[element:Mo|molybdenum]] alloyed cold work tool steel with high [[glossary:zaehigkeit|toughness]]. It was developed for highly stressed forming and blanking tools where fracture strength matters more than maximum [[glossary:haerte|hardness]]. When welding, preheat and use a soft martensitic filler. Typical analysis: 0.60 % C, 4.5 % Cr, 0.5 % Mo, 0.8 % Mn, 0.2 % V.
