CPM 3V

CPM 3V

CPM 3V is a Crucible [[glossary:pulvermetallurgie|powder metallurgy]] cold work tool steel with a high [[element:V|vanadium]] content. The fine distribution of vanadium [[glossary:karbid|carbides]] gives it exceptional [[glossary:zaehigkeit|toughness]] at high [[glossary:haerte|hardness]] – ideal for blanking and shearing tools that have to take impact loading. Typical analysis: 0.80 % C, 7.5 % Cr, 2.75 % V, 1.3 % Mo, 0.9 % Si.
